The Bachelor Degree Program is a 4-year program teaching general knowledge of counseling and guidance. The curriculum covers both  theoretical and practical aspects. The undergraduate program is designed as a four-year, 128-credit hour curriculum. Students will fulfill the following requirements: 32 credit hours of general courses; 60 credit hours of core courses; 24 credit hours of core selective courses.

There are 3-year and 4-year programs. The 3-year program is designed for  full-time students and the 4-year program is designed for part-time students.  Both programs are designed to meet all  requirements to take the national exam for professional licensure. Students must finish 36 credit hours of course work including 15 hours of general courses and 21 credit hours of elective courses. In order to receive their degrees, students must complete a master’s level thesis. In order meet the requirements to take the national licensure exam, the student must complete a full-time, one-year internship.

All students in this program will also have the opportunity to apply for admission into the program at The Center of Teacher Education and be a candidate to become a teacher in elementary school or middle school.
